What is Social Sewing?
Social sewing is a very informal sewing group, started by Rachel of My Messings.
It is attended by sewers based in Melbourne and visitors to Melbourne. We are all super lovely and welcoming, so please come join us! We meet about once a month at GJs Discount Fabrics, in Fairfield.
Can I come?
Of course! It’s open invitation to anybody that wants to join us to sew!

These are GJs’ opening hours. You are welcome to come along for as much or as little of that time as you like.
Where is it?
It’s in the big workroom above the shop GJs Discount Fabrics in Fairfield.
Please note, GJs are in a new location as of May 2015:

What should I bring?
Bring along whatever you want to work on. There are irons and ironing boards, cutting mats, and some power boards/extensions but you need to bring your own machine and all the other bits and bobs you need to sew.
Does it cost anything?
Yes, it costs $15 each, paid in cash.
